Tsutsumigaura Nature Park (包ヶ浦自然公園)

The Tsutsumigaura Nature Park is a grouping of outdoor facilities located on the northwest side of Miyajima, behind the Miyajima Pier and where the Itsukushima Shrine facilities are located. You can have a barbecue on the campground or stay overnight in a cabin. Most of the necessary camping and outdoor equipment, such as tents and sleeping bags, can be rented, so it is convenient to use the facility without bringing any equipment. Of course, a one-day picnic trip is also enjoyable.

Unlike most campsites, the Tsutsumigaura Nature Park is located along the sea, so you can enjoy marine leisure activities such as fishing, cruising, and marine sports. After catching fresh seafood from the Seto Inland Sea on a pleasure boat, you can eat your catch on a barbecue. The park is also close to Miyajima’s old-growth forest, where you can come into contact with the rare animals that live there, such as deer, wild birds, and insects.
