Novelty Souvenirs
Where can I find unique Hiroshima souvenirs? We’ve wandered into novelty souvenir shops across Hiroshima and curated the most interesting ones here. Laugh at plush hats in the shape of Miyajima deer heads. Track down socks with the Grand Tori Gate on them. Find Hiroshima Carp themed apparel and accessories. Wonder at vending machines selling cans of Hiroshima’s air or plush oyster charms. We’ve seen it all. Our souvenir guide is your ticket to distinctly Hiroshima gifts.

etto (エット)

Located just off Miyajimaguchi Pier, etto is a new tourist facility that opened in 2020. Etto derives its name from a Hiroshima dialect word meaning “many,” and as the name suggests, it offers a wide variety of souvenirs and food related to Hiroshima. The facility is divided into two areas: the “Itsukushi Marché” on the first floor, consisting mainly of souvenir stores and eateries, and the “Ogottsuo Dining” restaurant area on the second floor, where you can enjoy Hiroshima’s culinary specialties.

In etto, there are many original souvenirs and food items that you can’t find at other souvenir stores or restaurants. The mall is filled with shops, such as “Tabi no Tomo Honpo,” a rice ball restaurant owned by a furikake maker, “Setouchi Lemon Farm,” which specializes in “lemosco,” an interesting spice made from lemons grown in Hiroshima Prefecture that is both sour and spicy, and “Shikato Lemon,” which sells many cute goods with motifs such as deer and maple trees. You can enjoy the charm of Hiroshima with all five senses.
