Miyajima Worship Pleasure Boat (宮島参拝遊覧船)

The “Miyajima Worship Pleasure Boat” is a night cruising boat that allows you to see Itsukushima Shrine from the sea. Departing from the Miyajima Pier, you can enjoy a night cruise that brings you very close to the Otorii (Great Gate) of Itsukushima Shrine. The boat has a Japanese-style design that makes it match perfectly with the atmosphere of Miyajima and Itsukushima Shrine. It is also an original Miyajima worship cruise boat. The cruising time is only about 30 minutes, so you can easily put it on your list as something to do when sightseeing on Miyajima.

One of the most attractive features of the Miyajima Worship Pleasure Boat cruise is the overwhelming beauty of the illuminated Otorii gate and Itsukushima Shrine seen from the sea. The dark red shrine pavilions floating in the blue sky during the day are very beautiful, but the illuminated Otorii and Itsukushima Shrine at night are a whole new sight to be hold. On the boat tour, you can get very close to the Otorii and Itsukushima Shrine, and depending on the tide level, you may be able to actually pass through the Otorii and feel the power of the magnificent shrine.
