Sawamura Ship-fitting Shop (澤村船具店)

Sawamura Ship-fitting Shop is a general merchandise store located in Tomonoura, Fukuyama City, which has been loved in the port town of Tomonoura for more than 300 years since its establishment as a store specializing in ship-related goods at the end of the 17th century. The wooden shop has a 300-year-old Japanese atmosphere, with wooden rudders, glass buoys, and other ship equipment, as well as miscellaneous goods and toys decorated with ships that can be used as souvenirs.

At the Sawamura Ship-fitting Shop, you can actually see and purchase a variety of valuable shipboard tools, which are rarely seen unless you live by the sea. Particularly popular among tourists are miniature buoys and rudders that can be used as interior sundries. The showcases are lined with fashionable miscellaneous goods of the high quality that only a store specializing in ship equipment can offer.
