Megahira Ski Resort (めがひらスキー場)

The Megahira Ski Resort is located in the Yoshiwa district of Hatsukaichi City, famous for its heavy snowfall. The slopes are divided into nine courses of varying difficulty, making it a ski resort that both beginners and advanced skiers can enjoy. The slopes are equipped with artificial snowmaking machines, so you can enjoy skiing regardless of the weather. The ski resort also has a lodge and hot spring facilities where you can stay overnight.

One of Megahira Ski Resort’s most attractive features is the large number of courses on the slopes. Each course is well-balanced in terms of difficulty level, with 30% beginner, 60% intermediate, and 10% advanced, so anyone can enjoy them. The course is designed to be both exhilarating and challenging, with a total distance of about 2,300 meters from the summit to the base of the mountain. Also, depending on the amount of snowfall, the slopes may be open for sledding only, making it an excellent place for families with small children.
