Guilan (桂蘭)

Guilan is a three-minute walk from Hiroden’s Tokaichi-machi streetcar stop, and a long-established Chinese restaurant serving Beijing-style cuisine since 1967. Diners can enjoy three types of course meals featuring delicacies like abalone and shark fin soup—available for both lunch and dinner—or opt for a more casual lunch course during midday hours. Customers can choose from standard tables and private rooms, with some of the latter featuring the classic Chinese-style round tables with lazy Susans.

At Guilan, the Beijing-style cuisine is prepared by a veteran chef who has dedicated over 60 years to mastering Chinese cooking, and guests can savor it within a refined and relaxing atmosphere. In addition to full-course meals, the lunch-exclusive sets are highly popular, offering a reasonably priced selection of five to seven classic Chinese dishes—such as xiaolongbao (soup dumplings) and roast duck.
