Sake Workshop Seseragi (酒工房せせらぎ)

Sake Workshop Seseragi is a facility where visitors can tour the factory of Miyake Honten. The sake manufacturer was founded in Hiroshima Prefecture’s Kure City in the mid-19th century. You can see how sake is made up close, including how it is filled into its bottles. At the end of the tour, you can buy sake and other original goods as souvenirs at the Miyake Shoten Gallery, located right next to Sake Workshop Seseragi.

At Sake Workshop Seseragi, visitors can learn for free about the production process of sake and the secrets of sake brewing, which are usually unavailable to the general public. The factory tour takes only about 60 minutes and is only about 10 minutes by bus or cab from JR Kure Station, making it easy to stop by during your visit to Kure’s sightseeing spots. However, please note that you must make a reservation at least one week in advance for the factory tour.
