Enshoji Temple (円正寺)
Enjoji Temple is located in Koya-cho, Shobara City. The temple is located in Koya-cho, Shobara City, and is famous for its cherry blossoms, with several cherry trees planted in the temple grounds. Among them, the giant weeping cherry tree planted at the top of the temple’s stone steps is particularly popular, and is designated as a natural monument by Hiroshima Prefecture. When the cherry blossoms are in full bloom, the precincts of Enshoji Temple are lit up at night, and a tea house is set up where visitors can enjoy green tea while viewing the cherry blossoms.
The famous weeping cherry trees can usually be seen blossoming around April. Blossoming information will be posted on the official Facebook page.

At Enshoji Temple, you can see some of the most beautiful weeping cherry trees in Hiroshima Prefecture. The thickest and most magnificent of the several weeping cherry trees is said to have been planted about 400 years ago, and has been preserved in its beautiful form by successive generations of priests. Koyano-cho, Shobara City, where Enshoji Temple is located, is also known for its deep snowfall in winter, and you can enjoy the atmospheric scenery of white snow on the branches of cherry trees in winter.
