Oyatsu-to-Yamaneko (おやつとやまねこ)
The store specializes in sweets and is located a three-minute walk from JR Onomichi Station. The store does not have a café space, so you must take your sweets home and eat them at your hotel or eat while walking. The store’s showcase features the signature “Onomichi Pudding” as well as baked goods such as cookies, biscotti, and scones, all of which are made with the finest ingredients and are healthy for the body.

The pudding available at “Oyatsu to Yamaneko” has a stylish appearance and comes in a small milk bottle. The special caramel sauce comes in a case that looks like a fish, and the pudding is eaten while pouring the sauce over it. Also, at “Oyatsu to Yamaneko” they are very particular about the ingredients used to make their sweets. The milk and eggs that are essential for the puddings and baked goods are all directly from farmers in Hiroshima Prefecture.
