Fukisha Shohei Honke (風季舎 昌平本家)
Fukisha Shohei Honke is a Japanese sweets shop in Miyoshi City. It is a sales outlet of Watanabe Seishindo, a Japanese sweets store that has been loved by the people of Miyoshi for generations since it was established about 130 years ago, and offers a wide variety of wagashi (Japanese sweets) that use plenty of seasonal ingredients from Miyoshi and the northern part of Hiroshima Prefecture. The store also has a café space where you can enjoy Japanese sweets and drinks in a Renaissance-style stone building, and it is crowded with tourists on weekends.
Moment of Joy
The most popular menu item at Fukisha Shohei Honke is the beautiful white snow-like foam snow buns. It is one of Miyoshi’s most popular Japanese sweets, with a fluffy texture like snowdrift and a bean jam filling. In addition, they also sell many creative wagashi with a Western flavor, such as dorayaki with brandy soaked in the dough.
