Musubi Musashi Donguri Village Toyohira Store (むすびむさしどんぐり村豊平店)

Musashi is a renowned and beloved restaurant chain specializing in rice balls, with branches all over the prefecture. One such branch is located inside Donguri Village, a highway stop-esque park in Kitahiroshima. In addition to the usual rice balls and udon on offer, the Donguri Village branch also offers “mountain bandit-style” items such as grilled quarter chicken (leg and thigh) to be eaten by hand or oversized rice balls packed with scrumptious ingredients.

This Musashi branch may warrant a visit for its unique menu items alone, but any tourist who travels all the way to Kitahiroshima would know that Musashi is only where the fun begins. At Donguri Village, visitors can enjoy some soft serve ice cream, shop for potted plants and fresh vegetables, catch tiny fish to raise as pets, and try their hand at making soba noodles. Come for a hot meal, but stay for experiences that would entice the whole family!
