Mazda Museum (マツダミュージアム)
The Mazda Museum is a museum where visitors can learn about the history and engerineering behind the automobile manufacturer Mazda, which has its headquarters in Aki District’s Fuchu Town. Mazda celebrated the centennial of its establishment in 2020, and the Mazda Museum reopened for tours in May of 2022. The museum is split into ten zones through which visitors can learn about the different facets of Hiroshima’s automotive industry, such as “The History of Mazda,” “Mazda’s Technical Prowess,” “The Future of Mazda,” among others.
Moment of Joy
Inside the Mazda Museum, tourists can gaze upon a three-wheeled truck from the 1930s, the first Japanese racecar to win the 24 Hours of Le Mans in France, and other precious vehicles that one can seldom see nowadays. There is also a section where visitors can see cars being made live in the factory, and thus feel the atmosphere of the manufacturing process firsthand.
