Mount Noro and the Sazanami Skyline (野呂山及びさざなみスカイライン)

Mount Noro is said to be a mountain where the famous monk Kobo Daishi practiced asceticism and has been worshipped as a sacred mountain by the people of Kure since ancient times. Mount Noro is now a popular spot for enjoying spectacular views from the top. In particular, the Sazanami Skyline (which can be reached by car or motorcycle) has become an excellent place for touring, attracting bikers from all over the country. Near the top of the mountain, there are campgrounds and lodges where you can stay with your bike or car, making it famous among outdoor enthusiasts.

One of the features of Mount Noro is the beautiful view of the Seto Inland Sea that can be enjoyed from near the top of the mountain. In particular, at the Hachimaki Observation Deck, located halfway up the 839-meter-high mountain, you can view the islands of the Seto Inland Sea and the vast ocean at the same time. Cherry blossoms bloom in April, azaleas in May, hydrangeas in July, and other flowers bloom throughout the mountain all year round.
