Hiroshima Calbee Snack Factory (カルビー広島工場)

The Calbee Snack Factory is a dedicated factory for Calbee brand snacks best known for producing products such as Jagarico and Kappa Ebisen. Hiroshima is where Calbee was originally founded and where its first and biggest hit product, Kappa Ebisen, was born. Calbee’s Hiroshima factory mainly produces Kappa Ebisen. During the factory tour, you can learn more about the making of the product and the shrimp from the Seto Inland Sea that is used as the secret ingredient.


Please bring slippers when
visiting the factory.

On the Calbee Factory Tour, you can learn about the history of the Kappa Ebisen snack and the Calbee company while looking through the windows at the manufacturing process. In addition to observing the production line, you will also be able to see the packages of Kappa Ebisen from 1964 and other Calbee products sold around the world. The tour is free of charge and offers various benefits such as tasting freshly made snacks and visiting shops where you can find unique Calbee products and souvenirs. When visiting the factory with your children, please bring slippers for them to wear.
