Kagura Monzen Toji Village (神楽門前湯治村)

Kagura Monzen Touji Mura is a popular Kagura themed tourist spot located in Midori-cho, Akitakata City. The town of Mitosato has been home to the traditional art of Kagura since ancient times, and there are still 13 Kagura troupes active there today. In the vast grounds of Kagura Monzen Touji Mura, there are natural hot springs, lodging facilities, and a hall dedicated to the performance of Kagura, all lined up in a row. This creates an amazing atmosphere that will make you feel like you’ve gone to back in time to a traditional Japanese period. In addition to viewing kagura, visitors can also enjoy activities such as experiencing kagura.

Kagura Monzen Touji Mura is a tourist attraction in Japan that is themed around Kagura. The Kagura Dome, located at the far end of the site, is the largest dedicated Kagura performance hall in Japan, with a capacity of up to 1,500 spectators. In addition, there is a smaller-scale performance hall called Kamukura-za. Here, the seats are closer to the performers than the ones in the Kagura Dome, so you can feel the power of the Kagura dance right up close.
