Aosai Apple Orchard (青才りんご園)

Aosai Apple Orchard is a long-established apple farm located in Takano-cho, Shobara, and has been operating for the past 70 years. Takano-cho is at a high altitude and has almost the same heavy snowfall as the Tohoku region, so apple production has been flourishing there for a long time. You can also buy freshly picked apples and freshly squeezed whole apple juice.

One of the most popular apples is Himegami, which has a sweet flavor reminiscent of honey. The Himekami is a Japanese apple variety that is rarely seen in the West. The farm implements organic farming methods that do not use chemical fertilizers, so you can enjoy the natural flavor of the apples.
