SUNMALL Hiroshima is an old shopping mall building on Hondori. As a shopping center previously known as “Hirogoku Shopping Street” that was built right after World War Two by atomic bomb survivors, this mall is currently loved by and caters mainly to those in their teens and twenties. Especially because there are a lot of Lolita fashion and plastic model stores, this place is known as a holy ground for subcultures in Hiroshima.

The appealing point of SUNMALL Hiroshima is that even in the heart of Hiroshima City, there are many interesting stores that set up shop nowhere else but here. Customers can delight in boutiques selling Lolita, gothic, and punk fashion goods, as well as hobby shops dealing in plastic models, figurines, and train sets, with each store having a rich sense of individuality. As there are also quite a few restaurants on the basement floor, taking a break here between shopping sprees is quite convenient.
