Katsura-ma Kamaboko Fukuyama is a kamaboko specialty store located in the Sansute Fukuyama shopping mall, a short walk from JR Fukuyama Station. Kamaboko is a unique Japanese food made by steaming a paste of white fish such as cod or sea bream. Katsuraba Kamaboko Fukuyama sells special kamaboko products made from fresh white fish from the Seto Inland Sea. In addition to kamaboko products, they also sell fish sausages and seasoned fish balls.

The most popular item at Katsura-ma Kamaboko Fukuyama is the “Ishijyo,” a pack of five of the store’s signature dishes, including kamaboko and chikuwa. Among them, the Komayaki kamaboko, which is shaped like a shogi (Japanese chess) game “Katsura-ma,” is a gem that is hand-baked by skilled craftsmen one by one every day. You can enjoy the elegant sweetness of the white fish itself in this kamaboko. In addition to the standard kamaboko products, there are also many limited-time kamaboko products available for the spring, summer, autumn and winter seasons.
