Hiroshima Castle Moat Boat Tours Every Day September 19th-28th!

Hiroshima Castle’s main keep has been closed since March of this year and won’t open its doors again for a good long while, but the second bailey, museum shop, and moat are still active and receiving tourists! As a Silver Week special, they are offering boat tours along the moat every single day from the 19th to the 28th. The ride lasts 20 minutes and there are 11 departures per day.

Reservations are required; please call 082-221-7512 to book your trip (the boat seats up to 11). The prices are as follows:

• ¥1,300 for adults
• ¥600 for children in elementary and middle school
• ¥0 for the first child not yet in school, ¥600 for subsequent children (maximum of 2 small children per adult)

Top off your Hiroshima Castle visit with a meal at the San-no-Maru shops just south of the moat! They have delicacies such as Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki and grilled freshwater eel on rice. We hope you can have a relaxing time on the water, just like these sleepy ducks!
