Hiroshima Gate Park Christmas Market December 5th-25th!
Hiroshima’s newest and most popular Christmas market is once again happening at Hiroshima Gate Park, just west of the Hiroshima Bus Center. It may not be as authentically German as the Weihnachtsmarkt going on at Motomachi Cred Hall, but this one lasts longer, has a more spacious venue, and will feature more entertainers during the period it takes place. This Christmas market also has wooden huts selling piping hot food, as well as vendors selling various sundries like wreaths, statuettes, bakes goods, et cetera. They even have exclusive mugs featuring the Hiroshima Toyo Carp baseball team, sold only at the festival site! If you’re in Hiroshima during the month of December but will miss the Weihnachtsmarkt, you’re more likely to be able to catch this event. Warm up outdoors with your loved ones as the streets of Hiroshima get chillier next month!
NOTE: Admission is free from December 5th-23rd, but will cost money on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day on the grounds of extra special events happening those two days!
