Hiroshima Flower Festival 2026 From May 3rd-5th!

The 49th annual Hiroshima Flower Festival will once again be held over the course of three days during Golden Week–the 3rd to the 5th of May. There are three main components to the festivities: a parade held on Peace Boulevard every day featuring everyday folks dancing in the streets, approximately thirty stages dotted throughout Hiroshima City with a variety of performances, and street stalls downtown featuring festival foods, promotions for local businesses, carnival games, and more. Hiroshimarians who cannot or are not willing to take a vacation elsewhere have the opportunity for an outing in their own city, and visitors from other parts of Japan–as well as from abroad–can experience Hiroshima’s vibrant, peaceful energy during the warmest and greenest time of spring!
