Hiroshima Reptile Fest on Sunday, March 15th!

Are you not yet satisfied with the end of the Year of the Snake? Do you love reptiles, amphibians, and other small critters? If you’re in Hiroshima City on the weekend of Sunday, March 15th, you’re in luck! The Hiroshima Prefectural Industrial Promotion Hall in Minami Ward will be holding the annual Hiroshima Reptile Fest, and folks from far and wide will be dropping by our peaceful city to show and talk about these cute, cold-blooded creatures. In addition to reptile exhibits, there will be a sand art workshop, a dinosaur show, food trucks, and a temporary petting zoo run by Piknica Republic, an animal park based in rural Fukuoka Prefecture! This is a capital idea for a fun Sunday with the little ones in tow, even if you don’t understand Japanese. The Hiroshima Prefectural Industrial Promotion Hall can be reached from Hiroshima Station on the Hiroden Streetcar #5 Line; get off at Minami-ku Yakusho-mae (南区役所前 – Minami Ward Hall) and it’s less than a ten-minute walk to the venue.
