Now & New
Strawberry Fields For Half a Year (December to May)!

The time is nigh for strawberry picking at Hirata Tourist Farm in Miyoshi, set to run from December 2025 to May 2026! This time of year, two different plans are concurrently available for visitors: Chodo-gari, and Tabehoudai.
Chodo-gari (ちょうど狩り – “picking just the right amount”), which starts in January and lasts until the end of May, is a system in which customers buy a certain number of tickets beforehand (the price per tickets depends on whether the customer visits on a weekday or holiday as well as how many were bought at once) and exchange them for fruits of their choice. Every kind of fruit has a different ticket cost, so do make sure to confirm the rates at Hirata Tourist Farm on the day of your visit before you start picking.
Then you have the standard Tabehoudai (食べ放題 – “all-you-can-eat”) plan, which happens year-round, but the strawberry Tabehoudai begins in December and ends in May. Customers pay a flat fee up front to pick a single type of fruit and eat as many as they can on site. This plan is great for those with big stomachs who love a certain kind of fruit and intend to get their money’s worth, but the drawbacks are the lack of variety and the inability to take home any fruit without paying extra. During strawberry season, however, getting one’s money worth ought to be a breeze seeing how easily one can pop them into one’s mouth!
Regardless of the plan you choose, we hope you can spend a chilly winter day in the countryside of northeastern Hiroshima Prefecture and combat the cold with the power of vitamin C!
