Kagamiyama Park (鏡山公園)
Kagamiyama Park is located at the foot of the ruins of Kagamiyama Castle, which was once located in Hiroshima. The castle itself was destroyed in a battle around 1523, and now only the crumbling stone walls remain. More than 500 cherry trees of 30 different species are in full bloom in the park, and it is famous for being crowded with tourists and flower viewers in spring. There is also a walking course in the park where you can enjoy light exercise while taking in the beautiful scenery and seasonal changes in nature.
Moment of Joy
At Kagamiyama Park, you can enjoy nature in different ways in spring, summer, autumn and winter. In spring, there are more than 500 cherry trees and wild flowers in full bloom in 30 varieties. In summer, you can enjoy the lush green leaves of cherry trees and insects. In autumn, you can enjoy the red maple leaves, and in winter, you can enjoy the silver world of snow. There are also several ponds in the park, where you can see fish swimming.
