Yuki Fishing Pond (湯来つりぼり)

The Yuki Fishing Pond is an outdoor recreational facility located in Yuki Onsen, a hot spring bed town in the northwestern outskirts of Hiroshima City. Here, visitors can try their hand at catching fish from one of the several ponds on site and have the choice of either taking home their catch or having it cooked to eat inside the restaurant. In addition, the facility also has an additional pond for rowboats, other toys and games for the kids, and a barbecue house available for rental where people can grill other foods brought from home in addition to the fish they catch.

For those who grew up in an urban or suburban setting, fishing for your own meal can be an engaging experience. There may be no greater feeling of accomplishment when seeing the results of your efforts served up on platters enough to feed an entire family! Since the Yuki Fishing Pond is only five minutes away from Yuki Lodge by car (ten minutes by bus, forty minutes on foot), visitors can head over there after fishing and eating to wind down and wash the summer sweat away.
