Migiwatei Ochi Kochi (汀邸 遠音近音)

Migiwatei Ochi Kochi is a hot spring resort in the Tomonoura district of Fukuyama City. Opening just in 2019, it is a relatively new lodging, but it has been adopted by media sources from within and without Japan as a popular ryokan. The guest rooms, Japanese restaurant, wooden deck, and other facilities inside afford an “Ocean View,” so guests can enjoy the Seto Inland Seascape at any time during their stay. In addition, there are rental bicycles prepared just for exploring the immediate area, so guests can also have fun cycling while feeling Tomonoura’s ocean breeze.

Tomonoura’s calm sea breeze can be felt at the nearby Migiwatei Ochi Kochi, where all guest rooms are equipped with access to a rotemburo (outdoor hot spring) that can be rented, and from where users get a glimpse of the Seto Inland Sea. Apart from the baths in the guest rooms, there are an additional rental rotemburo that come in two flavors (must be reserved upon check-in) where users can indulge in an even more private experience with hot springs and the Seto Inland Sea backdrop. In the Japanese restaurant, diners can partake in breakfast, lunch, or dinner, all of which are prepared using freshly caught bounty from the Seto Inland Sea.
