Hiroshima Guesthouse SimpleStay, which enjoys a great location a short walk away from both JR Miyajimaguchi Station and Miyajima Pier, is a guesthouse near Miyajima. There are three types of rooms: mixed dormitories (all genders together) where tourists from different groups sleep together, regular rooms with bunk beds for groups or two or four, and “flat-type” rooms where one sleeps on futons, and all three guest room types allow guests to stay at unbeatable prices. Additionally, there are lots of restaurants nearby, such as the “Marugame Seimen,” the most famous udon chain in all of Japan.

The landmark for Hiroshima Guesthouse SimpleStay is a giant Gundam figurine that can be seen at the entrance. Its costume changes with the seasons to entertain guests. From the veranda in the rental bath (reservations required on the day of use), one is treated to a panoramic view of the island of Miyajima. In addition, besides restaurants and banks, there is also a hospital with English check-ups available in the immediate area, so guests can relax knowing they are safe in those what-if situations.
