Hot Springs

Etajima Onsen Etajimasou (えたじま温泉 江田島壮)

Etajima Onsen Etajimasou is a hot spring ryokan on Etajima, one of the myriad islands floating in the Seto Inland Sea. Having opened in July 2021, it is new compared to its counterparts, and has become one of the popular ryokan in Hiroshima that draws many tourists to visit. The natural hot springs, which are but one of the ryokan’s appealing points, can be used for day trippers, and it is possible to enjoy spring waters pouring out from the source or the outdoor bath on top of other tourist sites on Etajima. Also, there is an additional rental bathing space exclusively for those spending the night, where guests can satisfy themselves in an onsen without a care for their surroundings.

At Etajima Onsen Etajimasou, individualistic artworks themed around Etajima are on display, and the ryokan interior is inlaid with “Etajimaness.” In addition, all 32 rooms have an “Ocean View” so guests can relax while gazing at the Seto Inland Sea from their rooms. On top of that, guests can also taste French cuisine prepared by a young Hiroshimarian cook who apprenticed under the owner and head chef of the famed French restaurant, La Grenouillère.
