Tama no I (玉の井)
Tama no I (“I” is pronounced like the letter “E” in English) is a creative-style Japanese restaurant located about a five-minute walk from the Hatchobori stop on the Hiroden streetcar. You can enjoy traditional Japanese cuisine such as tempura, eel dishes and seasonal sashimi. All of the tatami mats in the restaurant’s tatami rooms create a relaxing atmosphere, making you feel as if you are dining at a luxurious Japanese inn. There is also a “footbath” in the restaurant, where you can soak your feet in the hot spring water to warm up your tired body after enjoying the food.
Moment of Joy
At Tama no I, you can enjoy reasonably priced Japanese food in the atmosphere of a high-class restaurant. The restaurant offers excellent Japanese cuisine, including course meals that use an abundance of carefully selected ingredients such as eel and seasonal seafood. During lunch time, many people who live in Hiroshima, such as local businessmen, visit the restaurant as they can enjoy the taste of a Japanese food at a low price. The restaurant also has a mini onsen where you can enjoy a footbath while gazing at the scenery outside and the beautiful garden.
