Etajima Olive Factory is a showroom of “Aki no Shima no Mi (Aki’s Island Fruit),” an olive oil brand. From cultivation to manufacturing and sales, the company does it all in one fell swoop, and at Etajima Olive Factory, customers can enjoy the manufacturing plant, restaurant, and farmers’ market gift shop all in one go. They can partake in olive cuisine made with fragrant olives plucked right there, observe the process of extracting olive oil at the manufacturing plant, and then buy some original olive oil to take home as a souvenir.

Moment of Joy

At Etajima Olive Factory, diners can enjoy the usual Italian cuisine such as pizza and pasta (with all-you-can-drizzle olive oil, of course) as well as other interesting olive-themed dishes that can only be had here. One especially rare product among them is the orange shaved ice. At first glance, it appears to be normal shaved ice with an orange peel on top, but it has freshly-squeezed olive oil poured on top, which allows one to “flavor swap” two refreshing tastes.
