Alpark (アルパーク)

Alpark is a huge shopping mall located two minutes on foot from JR Shin-Inokuchi Station that is divided into three buildings: the North Wing, the East Wing, and the West Wing. The North Wing sports a movie theater and a huge bookstore with a video arcade built inside, whereas the East Wing is home to big name stores like Uniqlo and H&M. In the spring of 2022, the West Wing saw the opening a new branch of hypermarket MUJI, which has the pride of being the largest in area of any MUJI branch in the world. As Alpark also has a wide variety of cafés and restaurants, it’s possible to spend the whole day having fun at this one mall.

Moment of Joy

Among the most popular stores in Alpark is the MUJI in the West Wing. Foodstuffs, clothes, sundries, and other MUJI original items line the shelves, and in one corner of the store, made-in-Hiroshima products such as snacks, seasonings, tea leaves, and more that were produced at Hiroshima-based farms or shops are sold. Occasionally, there are also flea market-type events selling special products from certain parts of Hiroshima Prefecture, so those who visit will also make a new discovery.
